post 7: changes to my study programme
Hi my dear
friends
To begin with, I
would like to say that everything can be improved, however perfect it may be,
therefore, yes, I would make certain changes.
First, I would
add more practical courses, although we have more practical courses than the
pharmacy, biochemistry and food engineering careers, we chemists need to learn
how to work in a laboratory, since this will be part of almost 100% of our
future, working in a laboratory.
secondly,
analyzing the hours of study and academic load I think they are within the
right range, sometimes it seems to be too much load and our whole life seems to
be occupied in just studying, but I think this is due more to not knowing how
to distribute our time and the effectiveness with which we study.
another point
that i would like to improve would be to train our professors more in teaching
skills. most of our professors are not really teachers, they are SCIENTIFIC
RESEARCHERS, therefore not all of them know the correct teaching method. i
emphasize that not all the professors of the faculty are like this, there are
many who are great teachers.
finally, it would
be great to have better technologies in the faculty, if we had more equipment
and a much larger infrastructure we could do much better things, in order to
improve and encourage the study and love for chemistry. for example, an
increase in laboratories and teachers would allow teaching each of the students
to use certain equipment well, and not having to be teaching in groups in short
periods of time.
Hi Nicolás! All your blog entries have been checked. I have not marked them as such since blogger.com is making my work a little too difficult by asking me if I’m human or not every time I mark any of your blog entries. So, please rest assured that I have already read all your blog entries and approved all of them as fit and appropriate for this blog activity
