post 7: changes to my study programme

Hi my dear friends To begin with, I would like to say that everything can be improved, however perfect it may be, therefore, yes, I would make certain changes. First, I would add more practical courses, although we have more practical courses than the pharmacy, biochemistry and food engineering careers, we chemists need to learn how to work in a laboratory, since this will be part of almost 100% of our future, working in a laboratory. secondly, analyzing the hours of study and academic load I think they are within the right range, sometimes it seems to be too much load and our whole life seems to be occupied in just studying, but I think this is due more to not knowing how to distribute our time and the effectiveness with which we study. another point that i would like to improve would be to train our professors more in teaching skills. most of our professors are not really teachers, they are SCIENTIFIC RESEARCHERS, therefore not all of them know the correct teaching method.

post 6: time travel to the future

Imagen
Hi everyone, Personally, thinking about the future is creepy but at the same time very intriguing. If I could travel to the future for 5 years, I am intrigued to know what will become of me, if I will be working in something that I am passionate about and I can say that I am where I want to be. I would like to know if I will have already started a family, although I don't expect to do it so soon. I wouldn't know if I would like to see how my relatives are doing, I would be afraid of losing one of them soon, but I also know that these are things of destiny. if I were to find out, I would take advantage of the time to enjoy them. i think i would also travel some 50-100 years ahead, although i will not be there in 100 years i would like to know what will happen to humanity and the world. will we destroy our planet because of the climate change we cause? will we discover a way to combat climate change? will we live on mars if our world ends? these are very complex questio

Post 5: My future job

Imagen
hello everyone i would clearly like to work in something related to what i studied. the truth is that i constantly look on the internet for job options related to my career, i don't know why i do it, i think it is more to motivate me and to make an effort to finish my career. I have been working at the university with a professor in soil analysis, this work has consisted of generating a clay capable of adsorbing a certain pesticide and prevent it from contaminating groundwater. why I mention this? well it is because I feel that I would like to work in something similar. to have a job in some laboratory or company that is dedicated to soil analysis and environmental chemistry. in this job you have to go out a lot because you have to take samples in the places where the analysis is required. for example if you are going to make a study of agricultural soil you must go there, take samples from the place and then take them to the laboratory where they must be treated first to

Post 4: Why I choose Chemistry

Hi everyone, I´m going to talk about why I chose my career. When I was a kid, I remember telling my whole family I wanted to be a scientist, at that age I didn’t even know what it was to be a scientist, I just thought scientists created things. When my family asked me "what does a scientist do?" I said "cientifiquear" haha.  When I was in Elementary School, I just had a general subject of science called “natural sciences”. I got to know chemistry in High School. I liked organic chemistry a lot, I also liked the reactions, and especially going to the lab, although that didn’t happen very often because we had few implements. After giving the “PSU”, I was interested in careers related to chemistry or biology, I was thinking in options like medical technology, but when I discovered my current career, I knew it was what I wanted to study and do in the future. I'm already in my 4-5h year, sometimes it becomes difficult to keep the motivation, but whenever I im

Post 3: I am going to tell you about how can Chemistry make the world a better place

Imagen
Hi everyone I'm Nicolas and im studying Chemistry, i believe that chemistry has changed the world throughout its history, contributing to the evolution and quality of life of people. from raw materials that nature gives us, products are created that contribute to improve or make things easier for people. things like cotton, silk, cleaning products, medicines, certain foods, gasoline, oil, etc. are products that go through a chemical process and have contributed to making the world a better place because they improve people's quality of life. in the future we will need even more chemistry, to solve problems such as water scarcity, global warming or hunger, but I think that one of the objectives that we should have (and in which I could also participate from my position) is that people lose their fear of chemistry, because nowadays it is thought of as something bad and that affects our health when chemistry is in everything natural and everything we know. regards

Post 2: The best concert

Imagen
Hi everyone The best concert I've ever been to (and the only one I've ever been to haha) is the ed sheeran concert. I remember it was a crazy day, I had to line up very early that day because there were a lot of people and obviously I wanted to be as close as possible to my favorite artist. I had to have breakfast and lunch there, the concert was at the movistar arena and while standing in line if I wanted to go to the bathroom I had to go quite far and I also had to ask someone there to watch my place. i remember when i went in i saw that people started to run to get to their sector first, so i did the same haha. when i managed to get there and later the concert started i had an unforgettable experience. listening to her voice live was great and it made my skin crawl, i think it was one of the best days i've ever had.

Post 1: a country I would like to visit

Imagen
Hi everyone, I never really thought about it, but I think I would like to visit England, mainly because of its great tourist attractions such as the big ben, Stonehenge, the london eye, tower bridge, etc. I know that in England they are very respectful with the laws and rules, also that most of the English people love soccer and that is why I would like to go. I would really love to go to a soccer game there, I am a fan of English teams like liverpool and manchester united. i believe that in that country soccer can be lived in a different way, and visiting the stadiums of the biggest teams would be spectacular. i think i would like to work in england, but i can only imagine working in what i studied, for example in a laboratory or industry. but i don't really know much about the salaries and the quality of life that exists in that country. greetings
